Afghan Friends Network (AFN) is a nonprofit organization for enabling friendships, networks, and partnerships between individuals, organizations and cities in the United States and Afghanistan. We believe the experience of cultural, spiritual, and technical exchange enriches the lives of all participants.

Afghan Friends Network 2008/09 Calendar

Afghan Friends Network 2008-09 Calendar features photos of the children of Kabul and Ghazni taken by AFN board members and volunteers. This 16-month calendar makes a great addition to any office or kitchen space and will help AFN continue its work in Ghazni, Afghanistan helping women and children gain a valuable education.

When you purchase one calendar for only $20 you will pay for the transportation of 4 women to our literacy program. Or, purchase 6 for $100 and pay a teacher's salary for 1-1/2 months.

Good Project Artemis 2008

Afghan Friends Network Joins Thunderbird for Good Project Artemis 2008. This program is a unique business-skills training program that aims to build the entrepreneurial skills of promising Afghan businesswomen. The Oct 2008 Project Artemis class welcomes 16 Afghan women to the beautiful campus of Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ. They will receive intensive business and entrepreneurial decision-making training; mentorship by women entrepreneurs; site visits to U.S. businesses; and follow up support and business coaching online.
